Access

Eligibility and fees

There are eligibility criteria and at times fees involved in this service.

Residents of the Rural City of Wangaratta who are frail, aged, have a disability or condition impacting on their function are eligible to use this service.

These services are provided through a combination of government funding and client fees.

We also provide nursing services to people eligible under the Post Acute Care, Hospital in the Home, Palliative Care, Transport Accident Commission and Work Cover programs.

Basic home nursing can be easily arranged. However, if a client’s needs are more complex and involve specific medical treatments, the nursing service will work in partnership with the client’s doctors to ensure they are receiving the exact treatment needed. In these cases, written information and authorisation from a client’s doctor are required.
