Gateway Health is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee and a registered Community Health Service under the Health Services Act 1988 (Vic).

Gateway Health focuses on the provision of primary health and welfare services to people at highest risk of poor health outcomes.

Services are delivered by over 300 staff members at sites in Wodonga, Wangaratta and Myrtleford in Victoria, and through outreach services provided across North East Victoria and Southern NSW.

A broad range of services are provided by Gateway Health ranging from medical practices, allied health, alcohol and other drug services including home based withdrawal, counselling services, family violence, men’s behaviour change, Gambler’s Help, health promotion, chronic disease management, Indigenous programs, aged care services including assessment, disability Services – registered NIDS provider, mental health programs including headspace, youth services, young parenting and family support programs, refugee health and sexual health.

Our Executive Team

  • Andrew Brown

    Andrew Brown

    General Manager, Client Services.

    With a background in nursing, Andrew has had an extensive career in clinical, education, project management, quality, clinical governance and executive roles in public and private sectors mainly in Victoria and Queensland. He is also a Director of a local small rural health service and local integrated Aged Care Service.

    Jacki Eckert

    General Manager, Population Health, Planning & Performance, Business Services

    Jacki is a highly experienced health executive and brings significant expertise in leadership, strategic planning and organisational performance management systems. With a track record in leading successful teams and driving quality improvement, she most recently worked at the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS), Victoria, where she held roles leading population and primary health portfolios as well as the performance oversight of key DHHS health programs.

    Chief Financial Officer

    Deb is an experienced Chief Financial Officer in the not for profit sector. Deb leads the Finance, Infrastructure and Information Technology Team who provide core fundamental services to Gateway Health.

  • Jonelle Hill-Uebergang

    Jonelle Hill-Uebergang

    Integrated Primary Care Manager

    Jonelle is an experienced health leader in acute and community settings with highly developed leadership skills. Jonelle leads the primary care services at Gateway Health, she has a passion for clinical governance and the delivery of high quality, easily accessible care.

 

Our main service delivery sites in Wodonga and Wangaratta operate from newly constructed purpose built health centres and operate as one-stop-shops for primary health care. Gateway Health has a Board of Directors all of whom are graduates of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
